The Sun Run Centre

Russet House Farm used to be called The Sun Run Centre for Sustainable Education. The Sun Run Centre was begun by Milt and Barb Wallace in 1988. From that time until 2005, the Sun Run Centre ran workshops on sustainable building (during which the strawbale chicken coop and duck house, and the cob cottage were built), organic gardening, and  other environmenetal issues. They also ran a Community Shared Agriculture program and a market garden from the farm. Milt and Barb retired in 2005.
