^camping is Not Optional
August 13-16, 2009
Following upon our last stunningly successful Practicing Resurrection conference co-sponsored by *culture is not optional and Russet House Farm, *cino and the folks at Russet House are teaming up to offer ^camping is not optional 2009.
From August 13-16 you are invited to come to Cameron, Ontario for a week of camping, exploring the Kawarthas, campfires, communal worship, reflection, play, swimming, and farm activities. We are also organizing a full scale conference for this year and we will also facilitate a few local events like a visit to a Community Shared Agriculture farm, a potluck dinner in the camping area on Saturday night and communal worhsip on Sunday morning. Other activities like bible study, evening prayer, yoga, interpretive dance, programs for children, poetry readings, salon-style conversations on whatever people want to talk about, and other crazy ideas will emerge from the midst of the camping community.
Camp Directors this year will be Brian Walsh and Kirstin Vander Giessen-Reitsma.
